I really do enjoy cooking. Just love reading recipes books am always on the look out for interesting recipe books. Pages and pages full of brightly coloured pictures of tempting dishes whether they be old favourites from my child hood or new and exciting ones yet to try!!!!
Learning spices and techniques does take time and I must admit often does not turn out but practice, practice and a little experimenting goes a long way in learning to perfect dishes and tastes..

Green Peas Masala

GREEN PEAS MASALA
Peas, Peas and more Peas!!!!


WHAT YOU NEED:
1 cup of peas
1 and 1/2 onions
2 medium tomatos
1 tsp of ginger parlic paste
1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
1 tsp of chilli powder
1/2 tsp of coriander powder
1/2 tsp of garam masala
pinch turmeric
salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves
Few tsp of oil

WHAT TO DO:
1. Cook peas till just cooked. Set aside
2. Grind 1 of the onions and the 2 tomatos together. Set aside
3. Heat oil and add cumin seeds and allow to sizzle.
4. Add the half of onion (sliced) followed by the ginger/garlic paste and cook till slightly brown.
5. Add the tomato/onion paste and cook for a further 5 mins.
6. Add turmeric, chilli powder and coriander powder followed by the peas and cook a further 5 mins.
