I really do enjoy cooking. Just love reading recipes books am always on the look out for interesting recipe books. Pages and pages full of brightly coloured pictures of tempting dishes whether they be old favourites from my child hood or new and exciting ones yet to try!!!!
Learning spices and techniques does take time and I must admit often does not turn out but practice, practice and a little experimenting goes a long way in learning to perfect dishes and tastes..

Clarifying Butter

CLARIFIED BUTTER
Clarifying butter can be done in both the microwave and on the stove top and is basically removing the impurities to get a beautiful golden coloured mixture.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Unsalted butter

WHAT YOU DO:
1. Heat the the butter till melted
2. Continue heating the butter till the impurities rise to the surface and scoop out the impurities.
3. Continue doing this until you have removed as much of the impurities as possible and you have a wonderful golden mixture.
4. Remove. Clarified butter is complete.
